Team Umizoomi Party

It's the time of the year - birthday parties galore!!!  I can't believe how fast time is passing but Sarah is already 3!!!  She absolutely loves princesses but the stubborn mom in me really feels compelled to delay the full-blown princess party till my own princess is 4 or 5!  So, about a month ago I started on my quest to find that alternate fun party theme for Sarah's 3rd birthday party....I had options: Dora, The Cat in the Hat....but the verdict.....

Team Umizoomi party!!!!!

Made this for 2 purposes:  Pictures and later on played
a game with it - kids had to toss balls through Bot the Robot!
If you have no clue what I just typed, I don't blame you.  We only found out about this new Nick Jr Show (don't worry if you don't know who is Nick Jr hahaha) by accident on a Saturday night!  But the kids automatically were attracted to it and I kind of liked the premise of the show.  Geo, Bot and Millie set on to solve problems using their math skills - shapes, patterns, and numbers!!!

So I sent out simple Umizoomi invites to our short list of guests - I asked my daughter and to my surprise she only wanted THREE friends...phew!

This year because of our crazy schedule, we decided to try something new so we hosted a morning brunch party from 9AM to 10:30AM!  Hubby was adventurous and decided to do dim sum - bite sized Chinese dishes!

Here are a few pictures of the stuff I made for the party....

Of course, cake - She wanted Belle - it was a nice change from the typical PINK princess!

Removing Doll Gift from inside the cake
Kids had to participate in the different games to collect the contents of their loot bags
Number cookies to match the age of the birthday girl!

This is why I decorate cakes!!!!!!
