I received a small order of regular chocolate coconut cupcakes for today. It was nice to get a little break from the long hours it takes to get a cake done and do just some simple cupcakes. Because I had some extras from baking the dozen (I have to use the oven anyways), I decided to try some packaging ideas from my shopping trip on Friday, and to test my fondant roses for Valentine's Day. Here are some pictures. I think it would be great for people to buy a couple to give as a small Valentine's Day gift but I haven't gotten my head around promoting it yet.I don't have any orders for this week, which is good. I had a rather hectic week this week. I still have to make some cupcakes for Thursday's class...and I still want to test my gluten free cupcakes, a regular cupcake recipe (I want to give Martha Steward another try), a Barbie cake (but I won't do this till later, when I think someone might actually eat it!), and start thinking about trying out a wedding cake...so lots to do!!!
Besides, I have to rearrange my baking supplies. Right now I have things in little corners all around the house. I have to somehow consolidate everything into one place!!! It is beginning to drive me mad!
