Eggnog Cookies - Recipe

So, I just finished my first batch of cookies for friends and family and got asked about the Eggnog Cookies I made.  Here is the recipe:

Ingredients
2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 1/4 cups white sugar
3/4 cups salted butter, softened
1/2 cup eggnog
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 large egg yolks
1 tbsp ground nutmeg (for topping)

Preparation:
Prehead oven to 300F

In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.  Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside

In a large bowl cream sugar and butter with an electric mixer to form a grainy paste.  Add eggnog, vanilla and egg yolks and beat at medium speed until smooth

Add the flour mixture and beat at low speed just until combined.  Do not overmix

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, 1 inch apart.  Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.

Bake for 23-25 minutes or until bottoms turn light brown.  Transfer to cool, flat surface immediately with a spatula

SUGGESTION:  You might want to experiment and add RUM instead of vanilla extract - I will try that next time I make this!

ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mrs Fields!  Your cookie Book is the best! (I've had this book since Grade 10!)
